PROGRAMME OF EVENTS

Tuesday 30th June, 10.00am – 4.00pm
One day beginners course on “Tracing your Scottish Family Ancestry”.  This will take place in the resource centre of St. Ninian’s Church from 10.00 - 4.00.  Cost £20 which will include a light lunch (to be served in The Heritage Centre) and access to Scotlandspeople website.  Course will be run by Frances MacRae Archivist Corstorphine Trust and Roddy Greig who has a diploma in Scottish Genealogical Studies.
   
Wednesday 1st July, 7.30pm

 

Mr Stan Reeves will give a talk on Scottish Music and it’s influence abroad to be held in The Heritage Centre.  Tickets £3 to include Tea/Coffee.
   
Thursday 2nd July, 10.00am - 4.00pm

Folk Night in The Heritage Centre’ .  Come along and enjoy the music of SOOPNA a folk trio who play a mixture of Scottish, Irish and American music. Tickets £6 to include a glass of wine and nibbles. Check them out at http://www.soopna.com
   
Saturday 4th July, 7.30pm

Family Ceilidh to be held in Kirk Loan Church Hall. Dance to musicians from The Scottish Music Group.  Tickets £8 adults £4 children, to include supper.

Throughout the week The Heritage Centre will be open to visitors from 10.00-4.00 (Monday -Friday) 10.00-12.00 (Saturday).  An exhibition will be on display in the house based on Corstorphine Families and on peoples reminiscences of growing up and living in Corstorphine.  Tea and coffee will be available throughout the week.
